You Don’t Need To Lose A Ton Of Weight To Be Clothes Confident!

A size 10 pair of pants would be a dream come true for me. Honestly, right now I am comfortably in a 20.

But there’s good news!

This week I discovered that we don’t have to lose 40 or 50 pounds in order to look and feel good about our clothes. Here’s what happened.

“Winter” hit Florida. We’ve had highs in the 50’s and lows in the 40’s. My usual attire of stretchy shorts and a t-shirt doesn’t keep me warm so I’ve been forced to pull out some old pants. That’s when I discovered something amazing. I don’t look half bad in my leggings.

They’re really comfortable and I feel good wearing them. Last year that wasn’t the case.

Although I’m still in the same dress size, I was really squeezing into these stretchy garments. I mean, they fit, but this year, after losing 15 pounds, they fit a lot better.

So often in the past I would choose a size, like a 14, and focus on becoming that size. I felt no victories until that goal was achieved. The sad thing is, it never was.

Now I’m just happy that my leggings fit and I feel comfortable wearing them out of the house. It’s a small victory, but it’s really good news for all of us.

You don’t need to lose a lot of weight to feel more confident. The more confident we feel, the more empowered we feel. And the more empowered we feel, the more empowered we act.

So if you’ve only lost a few pounds, be happy! No doubt you’re looking great! I’d love to see a size 10 again, but for now, I’ll take confidence in a size XXL leggings.
